In 2019 the share of vacancies in the field of IT will be at the second place in the common base,
as the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population predicts.
Due to the economy and market digitization the need for specialists grows,
but quantity does not always correspond to quality.

One of the most important provisions of Samsung Electronics Central Eurasia’s corporate social responsibility policy is ongoing efforts and support in solving local problems in the region of the company's activities. That is why the company contributes to the training of IT professionals in Kazakhstan. One such example is the educational project - Coding Lab programming courses as the part of the corporate responsibility of Samsung Electronics Central Eurasia.

Coding Lab is a long-term Samsung project on extended education for high school students in the field of programming in modern programming languages. Currently the project is conducted jointly with AYALA Charity Foundation.

The project provides training in the following areas:

• the fundamentals of programming
• algorithms and data structures in Java
• the introduction to Android applications programming
• the fundamentals of computer graphics and design
• object-oriented programming
• the fundamentals of the server side of mobile applications developing

Education is free and anyone in Almaty can try to enroll. To do this, you must pass a test on the website www.coding-lab.kz. You must not miss classes, do homework and be responsible. The teachers are going to prepare graduates with good skills and abilities to create projects by the end of the academic year. The final exam for children will be the creation of a special application for Samsung mobile phones and tablets based on Android.

Students of schools and colleges aged from 14 to 17 years are allowed to courses,

The duration of studies is from September 2018 to April 2019.

Full-time classes 2 times a week for 2 academic hours.

The training takes place at Samsung Innovation Academy in Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (KazNU)

After learning the fundamentals of programming, students will gain useful knowledge they can put into practice, also they will have an opportunity to participate in international IT events and develop a mobile application on their own!
