Breathe, baby

In 2013, I gave birth to my daughter. She was a premature infant with a very low weight. She was placed in the children intensive care unit and when I came to look after her I saw a sticker on the equipment with a sign “Gift from charity foundation “AYALA”. This equipment helped to rescue life of my daughter and I decided to give her name – Ayala. Now my funny and healthy girl is already 2,5 years old.

This story was told to us by an accountant of one of our boarding schools

The project “Breathe, baby” was launched by the charity foundation “AYALA” in 2009. From 2009 to 2011 we provided modern medical equipment to the children intensive care units of perinatal center and all maternity hospitals in Almaty. This medical equipment helped to decrease the infants’ death rate in our city. In March, 2011 a Memorandum of cooperation and interaction was signed between the Healthcare ministry and charity foundation “AYALA”. The project “Breathe, baby” has become republican, it was decided to provide vital equipment to the children intensive care units of regional perinatal centers of the Republic of Kazakhstan. After defining the needs of all regional centers the fundraising for buying the expensive medical equipment to the regional perinatal centers was started. To the present moment our equipment stands in the intensive care units of the regional perinatal centers in Karaganda, Semey, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Atyrau, Taraz, Aktobe, Kyzylorda, Shymkent, Petropavlovsk, Pavlodar, Kostanay, Taldykorgan, Turkestan, Kokchetau, Aktau and Uralsk.

During 5 years 337 489 410 tenge was spent on this project. We thank all our sponsors and partners for their assistance in the implementation of the ambitious project of the foundation. The result of this project are many thousands of saved children's lives. There is no more such an award in our world.
