In the first decade of XXI century 80% of children with congenital heart disease died before 1 year in Kazakhstan.

In Kazakhstan 3000-5000 children with congenital heart disease are born annually. The urgent treatment is of vital importance for them. Approximately 2% of such children got operated in the republic. We want the children who need the heart surgery to receive timely and qualified aid without the necessity to depart outside the boundaries of our country. At present time only in Almaty 3 fully-fledged children cardio surgery units work. Sometimes in these units the children get operated immediately after their birth. Our foundation constantly comes back to this project. We send our medical specialists to the professional development courses, buy surgery instruments, take part in the organization of master classes of foreign cardio surgery specialists.
