A regular meeting of the “Association of Charity Foundations” was held in the foundation of the First President in Almaty. The meeting was attended by representatives of 18 nonprofit organisations, most of which are engaged in charity and social projects. Janyl Mukashova, a program manager of public foundation “BOTA” made a presentation on the types of grants.  informed The president of the Public Foundation “Shyn Zhurekten” Mikhail Filonov reported on the project “Fotonastiya”. Zhangeldy Sarsenov, a vice-president of “AYALA” charity foundation told about the “Association of Charity Foundations” and the development of pediatric cardiac surgery in our country and the first results of the project “I want to live too”.

Basically, the purpose of this meeting was a discussion of the ways of development of “Association of Charity Foundations”. All representatives of NGOs after the reports of the experts Askar Kaliyeva and political analyst Eduard Poletayev agreed that it was necessary to form a legal entity and name it “The association of charity organizations (ACO) of Kazakhstan”. It was decided to establish a working group to develop a strategic plan for the ACO and start building a database of charities and nonprofit organizations working to help socially vulnerable layers of population in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
