Today charity foundations "Bauyrzhan" and "Altyn Kyran" have held the third annual conference "Charity in Kazakhstan" in the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. They have discussed the verification of charitable organizations’ activity, the effectiveness and transparency of the nonprofit sector’s activity.

The following peoplehave made a speech at the conference: Elena Topoleva Soldunova, Yuriy Sukhorukov - experts in the field of charity in Russia; Aigul Solovyova – the deputy of Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The performance of Jake Hayman, the expert in fundraising and work of charity organisations in the UK, has been very interesting.

The discussion initiated in a big hall of the Foundation of the First President has become profitable for all participants of the annual conference "Charity in Kazakhstan" in gaining experience.

The presentation of the conference site, designed to ensure transparency in the activities of the organizations in the field of charity, excites participants’ interest. The slogan of www.verification.kz web site is “I am honest!”. This title will give the opportunity for a charity foundation to become a potential recipient of the assistance of state and commercial organizations, which are interested in realization of socially-significant projects.

Organisers and participants of the conference decided to create a working group for the development of the Law on Charity Organisations or amendments to the Law "On Public Organisations." The new law will facilitate significantly the work of organisations bringing benefits for society, and will encourage involvement of businessmen of our country in charity activities.
