A regular meeting of the Association of Charity Foundations was held in “Palladium”. Moderater of the meeting was our foundation.The main theme of the meeting was the state of child cardiac surgery in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The current state of this issue was presented to representatives of Health Department of Almaty, National Scientific Center of Cardio Surgery named after Syzganov and City Cardio Centre.

The figures announced showed that only 2% of 3000-5000children born annually withheart defects in Kazakhstan were operated.About 80% of children didn’t survive till the age of one.

“Association of Charity Foundations” made the first of “thousand steps” to resolve this problem deciding to buy 2 special high-tech devices for the intensive care unit of National Scientific Center of Cardio Surgery named after Syzganov.These resuscitation tables wil allow saving at least twice as much number of surgically treated infants.

“DARA” foundation reported about the work of Association on amendments to the law of the Republic of Kazakhstan concerning “Matrimony and family” regarding adoption.Public foundation “Shyn Zhurekten” reported about the establishment of an informational network of “Association of Charity Foundations” in Kazakhstan. This project was supported by the Foundation of the First President of Kazakhstan.

The next meeting of the “Association of Charity Foundations” will be held in September. Moderater of this meeting will be Public foundation “Together against cancer”.
