We continue to communicate with those who love helping others. One of such people is a deputy director general of “Alageum Group” LLP, Nurzhan Adasbaiyevich Stvayev. The charity foundation “AYALA” thanks the company for the support provided to Almaty kindergarten #13 for children with vision disorders. We will tell about our future plans and joint projects with the foundation in our next interview.
Nurzhan Adasbaiyevich, please, tell us about your company.
«Alageum Electric» is the biggest electrical and technical company in Kazakhstan, it has a network of more than 30 enterprises and factories, which operate successfully in the sphere of electric energy, electric engineering and construction. The history of “Alageum Electric” started in 1997 when a range of enterprises specializing in designing, manufacturing and installation of electrical and technical production was combined into one brand “alageum” (in translation from the Kazakh language it means “dawn”). Consequently, subsidiary companies formed around this range. Today the holding is truly deemed to be a leader in the electric engineering sphere and a national champion of competitiveness. For 20 years of its work “Alageum Electric” has implemented more than 100 important works for various economic areas in Kazakhstan. Among them there are projects on constructing the substations, installing, testing and commissioning the electric and technical equipment and power transmission lines. All of them have a determinative impact on the overall economics of our country.
When and why did you decide to deal with the charity?
It wasn’t a special decision. From the first day of holding’s foundation we understood that the social responsibility of business must have its own place. That’s how we started to help those who needed. We realize that we cannot save the whole world but we are capable of making this world better by providing help to those who need and supporting the children. Today we cooperate closely with your foundation and also with the Association “Asyl bala” that stands for the protection of children’s rights and interests. Our JSC “Kentau factory of transformer works” as a town-forming enterprise totally supports Kentau city, too. This year thanks to the factory’s initiatives the yards, children playgrounds were facilitated, building’s elevations were renovated, fitness training devices were installed, the roads were surfaced and more than 60 million tenge was spent for these purposes. In one word, the large-scale works for the city development were held. Also, more than one million tenge was spent on the urgent operation of a small citizen – Meyrambeck Alimbeck abroad. The fundamental basis of our social responsibility is formed on such feelings as patriotism, taking care of our country’s citizens and also irrational premises as our company works and continues to grow here, and it also established itself as a business unit here.
What did you rely on when choosing the charity foundation “AYALA”?
First of all, we were attracted by the fact that the foundation has been working in this field for many years and it recommended itself as one of a few foundations in the country who you can trust. Moreover, the main working areas of the foundation are provision of help to the children’s state institutions of healthcare and education. And these two fields are namely those areas, which are interesting for our holding, too, according to the favorite words of “Alageum Electric” founder – Saidulla Kozhabayev “We should conserve our health, aim for knowledge and develop engineering progress”. I’m sure that may Kazakstan people are thankful for your vitally important projects.
Nurzhan Adasbaiyevich, are you planning to continue dealing with the charity in future?
Yes and it is out of the question. The charity has become a kind tradition to us, a kind of business philosophy and belief into kindness. We all need to believe in wonders and each person needs this wonder. We want to tell the people that it’s not necessary to be a rich person to help those who need. To help people surrounding us to the best of our abilities and opportunities is our responsibility. Certainly, we have great plans for future. We would like to continue our cooperation with your foundation and help everybody with all we can provide!
