Another celebration of the World Children's Day was held for pupils of special (correctional) boarding school #9 in Almaty for children with severe speech disorders. This time, the pupils of 9-10 grades have the opportunity to visit one of the natural attractions of the city - Kok-Tobe Mountain. Travel to the mountain began from a lower landing of the cable car. A trip on this "transport" for many children was the first trip like that. When we arrived at the top station of the cable car, a wonderful view of the city in a light haze has opened at the front of our group. Our journey lay along the following route - Alley of lovers, a mini zoo and a bench of the legendary Beatles band. The pupils were photographed a lot and we are confident that the memory of this walk will be not only in photo albums, but in the soul of the children.
By tradition, every celebration of the World Children's Day wherever it occurs accompanied by a small treat. But this time, the Kok-Tobe park administration and in particular the Chaikhana really impressed us. Baursaks, samosa, meat pasty from the heat were offered to children and they all were very, very tasty. Juices and tea came in handy, especially the children liked to drink tea with freshly baked cakes - cakes and biscuits. Light snack turned into a "heavy snack". On the fresh mountain air this meal is particularly pleasant. After the snack we all walked to the Fast Coaster attraction. Exciting ride on a rail sleigh on a huge mountain is the next step of our adventure. According to the tradition of our World Children's Day, children have received small gifts, like DVD movies and fruit. Tired, but happy children in cable cars coming down to the city, but we believe that each child after that date will remain the whole truck of experiences and memories.
We cannot not to thank the administration of the Kok-Tobe amusement park for participation, which they showed to the children's holiday. The initial budget for the event was 170,250 tenge, but hosts’ help, who welcomed us like honored guests, reduced our expenses up to 38 500 tenge, which we spent on gifts to the children. Everything that saw the children – attractions, mini zoo, cable car and the generous lunch, park administration has given us for free. For this a huge thanks for them and appreciation not only from the "AYALA" charity foundation, but also from children from special (correctional) boarding school № 9 for children with severe speech disorders.
