A Teacher’s Day in the boarding school for children with intellectual disorders of Saran city was celebrated with the opening of art studio. This event had become possible thanks to the charity sales exhibition of art works “Bloom, our native Kazakhstan” confined to the 25^th anniversary of Kazakhstan’s independence in May. 

The pupils of the affiliated branches of educational foundation “Educational Foundation of Nursultan Nazarbayev” – International Almaty School, International School “Miras” and Specialized Lyceum “Arystan” in Almaty and also capital’s International School “Miras” and kindergarten “Miras” presented their 116 best works which were possible to be obtained in the shopping and entertainment center Mega Alma-Ata 2 and “Keruen”. As a result, thanks to the involved citizens and art lovers 501 000 tenge was collected. This money was transferred to the project “ART-THERAPY” of the charity foundation “AYALA”, which is aimed at equipping the art studio of the regional special boarding school #5 for children with disabilities in Saran city of Karaganda region.

At present time 181 children in the age from 5 to 18 with intellectual development disorders which can be complicated by emotional and volitional disorders study at this school. The pupils of the boarding school can hardly apply elementary knowledge on practice, therefore for their education specially-equipped rooms and art workshops are required.

Thanks to the charity exhibition the cabinet was equipped with the modern interactive board, drawing easels, canvases, brushes, paints, etc. The total cost of the project amounted to 857 389 tenge.
