Pupils of the Special correctional boarding school in Astana together with the Kazakhstan Olympic athletes started the countdown of 100 days to the XXIII Winter Olympic Games 2018 in PyeongChang (South Korea). The traditional ceremony was held in the Alau Ice palace.
Children with their parents could skate and participate in autograph and photo sessions with national Olympic athletes in summer sports Bakhtiyar Artayev, Daniyar Eleusinov, Denis Kuzin, Vasily Levit, Guzel Manyurova, Yeldos Smetov and Arman Chilmanov.
The host of the event - the National Olympic Committee of Kazakhstan - has prepared an exciting interactive program. Visitors were much attracted by the hockey game of Daniyar Yeleusinov and Vasily Levit, who are much more used to boxing gloves rather than sticks. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Kazakhstan Kim Dae-sik also participated in the countdown ceremony.
Adults and children participated in various competitions and, of course, wished the team of Kazakhstan luck in the upcoming winter games.
The Olympic Games in PyeongChang will be held from 9 to 25 February. The «AYALA» Charity Foundation is expressing its gratitude to the National Olympic Committee of Kazakhstan for organizing the mass skating for pupils of the Special correctional boarding school in Astana.
