The International Day of Charity is celebrated on this day. The date was set by the UN in order to draw public attention to the activities of charitable organizations, as well as to encourage public associations and concerned people around the world to participate in volunteer and charitable activities.

By this date AYALA Charity Foundation timed the installation of tactile tablets at the regional special correctional boarding school for children with visual impairments of Esik city. The school was opened in 2013, and currently 158 children from all over Kazakhstan live and study there. They have various visual impairments (strabismus, amblyopia, etc.), up to complete blindness.

Bright markings of the entrance group, floor tactile indicators that serve as the main guideline for the movement of a visually impaired person, tactile pictograms duplicated in Braille script and help buttons will assist children to move freely around the institution. The project cost is 314,500 tenge.
