The Qaganat catering chain and AYALA Charity Foundation completed a two-month culinary skill course, which was held in the regional orphanage No. 1 and in the regional boarding school No. 15. Over this time, a brand chef of Qaganat taught 20 high school students from these educational institutions to cook quickly and tasty.

“I am very glad to cooperate with AYALA foundation on the project for training students in orphanages and boarding schools for a profession of a cook. AYALA Foundation is our long-standing partner; therefore I rely on their expertise. If the graduates of our program become professionals and work in public catering, I will be happy” general director of the Qaganat chain Chinara Chaymardanovna Bugimbaeva said.

A brand chef Marat Galeev held 8 workshops for students in grades 9-11. Classes were held in an interesting and understandable for children format of a culinary master class lasting from 2.5 to 3 hours. Marat Galeev picked up such dishes that children can easily cook after the courses on their own for themselves. And, of course, under the guidance of the mentor, the teenagers learned to cook what they really wanted to try.

For 2 months the children prepared 4 salads, learned to bake pizza of 3 types and make hychina. They baked chicken and meat pies, made Bolognese pasta and chicken fettuccine, delicious chicken steaks, meatballs with cheese, grilled vegetables, chicken roll and carp koktal, baked Italian pound cake and made homemade “Bird milk”.

At the final master class, senior pupils from the boarding school No. 15, together with journalists, employees of AYALA foundation and Marat Galeev, prepared buffet dishes, which they tasted together. As always, the brand chef not only showed the proper and quick way to cook tasty and wholesome food, but also shared tricks of preparing a buffet table. After the completion of the master class, the children received certificates of completion of the cooking classes.

Thanks to this training, several teenagers from the regional orphanage and from the boarding school decided to become professional culinary specialists in the future and continue to gain knowledge in this direction. Qaganat is ready to continue to teach two children from the regional orphanage after the completion of the project.

AYALA foundation has been implementing the “Career Guidance” project for 6 years. “We help children from orphanages and boarding schools to understand in what particular profession they want to develop in the future. Therefore, the courses and training that we organize for them are aimed at getting them an idea of future work through practical skills. I want to thank the owner of the Qaganat chain Chinara Bugimbaeva for supporting our project. We hope that this will be a great start for teenagers in their future profession,” president of AYALA foundation Aidan Suleimenova said.
