In this room there is no place for sadness and illnesses. Here the children communicate, have a rest, laugh, draw, play and just have fun. Dozens of children who got into the surgery department of Almaty regional children’s clinical hospital in the village of Otegen Batyr come here to take mind off injections and endless administration of medicine. There is everything in the room that will help child to feel comfortable and relaxed: big TV-set, lots of developing games, books, coloring books, educational facilities and a vast number of favorite cartoons. Walls there are totally different from hospital ones. They are not white, but multicolored.

The staff of Samsung Electronics Central Eurasiacompany dealt with the redevelopment of this room and “AYALA” foundation helped them with this. The project’s cost amounted to 1 173 855 tenge.

Today there are 210 children (from infants to 14-year-old teenagers) in the hospital’s surgery department. The children’s diagnosis are different – obstipation, edema, etc. We hope that the leisure activities in the new playing room will make the everyday life of these children better and they will significantly faster be doing well.
