Neonatologists and pediatric experts in resuscitation of perinatal centers and maternity hospitals of Aktobe, Kostanay, Kyzylorda, Taraz, Almaty and South Kazakhstan regions came to Almaty for three-day theoretical trainings and practical master classes. The training was organized by AYALA Charity Foundation sponsored by Chevron Company.

The lecturers were the Chief Neonatologist of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bekturgan Karin, Honored Scientist of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Medical Science, a professor, the Senior Resident-Consultant of the Department of Neonatology of the National Research Center for Maternal and Child Health of Astana Tamara Chuvakova, the Head of the Department of Anesthesiology, Resuscitation and Intensive Care for newborns of Saint Petersburg State Pediatric Medical University Alexander Lee and the Head of the Department of Neonatal Resuscitation of the Children's City Clinical Hospital No. 8 in Chelyabinsk, an anesthesiologist-resuscitator of the highest category, a physician expert of Federal Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund Andrey Averin.

Also AYALA Fund together with the Association of Neonatology Physicians plans to issue new methodological recommendations for nursing newborns.

It should be noted that for five years Chevron Company has been supporting the initiative of AYALA Foundation of training Kazakhstan professionals with participation of leading foreign trainers from Lithuania and Russia. All the previous training courses showed their high efficiency and contributed to a significant reduction in infant mortality in Kazakhstan.

To recall, the fund has been working in the area of children's medicine for 11 years and promotes the introduction of the latest methods of treatment and prevention of critical conditions in newborns in the practice of public health. "As a physician, I understand that proper care for newborns, especially premature babies, is very important for their health in the future. Medicine does not stand still and methods improve. Our trainings help doctors learn about new and effective methods of treatment. Therefore we thank Chevron, our long-standing partner for the trust and desire to improve the level of healthcare and in particular, perinatal care in Kazakhstan, " said Aidan Suleimenova, the president of AYALA Charity Foundation.
