Today in Almaty medical-diagnostic center an opening ceremony of the cabinet of eyesight protection held. This cabinet is equipped with modern machines and equipment for the diagnosis and treatment of various disorders of sight of children. It is planned to make the cabinet of eyesight protection in the city center providing high quality medical care to children from all over the city. Specialists of the center have received additional training to work with new equipment. Price of the transferred to the cabinet of eyesight protection three synoptophores for the treatment of strabismus and development of binocular vision, autoceratorefractometer, ambliokor for vision correction and other equipment amounted to 11 953 million tenge. The sponsor of this large-scale project was the Halyk Bank.

Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSC "Halyk Bank" Stanislav KOSOBOKOV said: "Unfortunately, around the world there is a steady increase in eye diseases, both in adults and in children. For example, according to statistics, every third person on earth suffers from myopia. I think that our joint project with the "AYALA" charity foundation  is a real contribution to the prevention and treatment of children eye diseases in the largest city of Kazakhstan".

Vice President of public relations of the "AYALA" charity foundation Zhangeldy SARSENOV said: "Our foundation is always trying to convey to children's medical institutions modern and necessary equipment and train specialists to work with it in such a way, then to help tens of hundreds of young patients. Opens today the eyesight protection cabinet will provide quality medical care to children from all parts of our city. This principle of work, in my opinion, is one of the qualities of an effective charity".

Chief physician of the treatment and diagnostic center Svetlana SULTANGAZIEVA said: "Creating of the eyesight protection cabinet as a city center providing ophthalmologic help to children – is a very useful and thoughtful move. I am sure that the opened today cabinet will raise the level of medical care in the field of vision protection on a qualitatively new level. I would like to sincerely thank the Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan and the "AYALA" foundation for active work in the field of child healthcare".
