Within the framework of the project under this name on April, 13th, 2011 the charity foundation "AYALA" handed over 31 phototherapy devices to the chief doctors  of 13 maternity hospitals and the central district hospitals. It took place in the office of Health care department of Almaty region.

Every year over 20 000 children are born in such obstetrical clinics. Many of these children suffer from postnatal jaundice. Medicinal treatment of this pathology is inefficient; the phototherapy devices cope with illness within few days and absolutely without any medicines. This part of the project has been commenced when we got evidence that this type of treatment is efficient in maternity hospitals and perinatal centre of Almaty. Physicians thanked warmly employees of our foundation for the presented equipment. Doctors during training in Almaty have seen at first hand that the phototherapy is very effective for treatment of jaundice in newborns. Therefore, they were pleased to accept the devices. Halyk Bank is the main sponsor of the project “The nation’s health begins from maternity hospital” in Almaty region. Cost of this project is 17 050 000 KZT.
