Since 2010 the charity foundation “AYALA” decided to hold small fests for children who turned out to be in difficult life situations. These children reside in different social and educational institutions for children. Apart from traditional New Year fests and International Protection Day of Children the sponsors and investors rarely pay attention to them.

Our foundation has started this tradition from celebration of the World Child’s Day. In 2013 we decided to organize more different fests for boys and girls. The charity foundation “AYALA” actively propagates ideas of organizing various fests for pupils of boarding schools, orphanages, patients of child’s home and children’s sanatoriums.

In 2013 we coincided several events with the different world and international fests. The foundation “AYALA” conducted such fests as Day of Spontaneous Goodness, International Theatre Day, spring fest Nauryz, 23rd of February, World Health Day in Almaty and Astana. Besides, we decided to time the celebration of World Cartoons’ Day to coincide with the week of French movies.

According to the calendar of international festive dates the World Cartoons’ Day is celebrated on April, 6th, however, the foundation “AYALA” together with the administration of cinema center “Arman” and fest’s sponsor Saks Fifth Avenue decided to celebrate this fest some time later to coincide it with the week of French movies that was held in Almaty from 18th to 21st of April. We altogether invited pupils of orphanages to the cartoon show “Ernest and Celestine: Adventures of mouse and bear”. Before the show a director of this animation Stephan Obie told a story about the cartoon’s creation.

It is pleasant to notice that the initiators of the World Cartoon’s Day – administration and employees of the cinema center “Arman” apart from free tickets presented a traditional “cinema menu” to children – popcorn and drinks. Saks Fifth Avenue allocated 50 000 tenge to rent buses for 200 boys and girls and their teachers for their transportation to the cinema and backwards.

The project of “AYALA” foundation which was named as “Let’s do good deeds” is aimed at achieving the main mission of the foundation “AYALA” – upbringing of charity culture and tradition in our country. The project’s name was born spontaneously but in the further consideration we surprisingly came to conclusion that the project can be named “4D” – Dавайте (Let’s) Dелать (Do) Dобрые (Good) Dела (Deeds).

After the show the children asked many questions to the cartoon director Stephan Obie who gave full answers with pleasure. These commentaries became a crucial addition to the story about adventures of bear and mouse.

We hope that such events with small budget will attract more attention to the charity, not only successful businessmen who are able to realize expensive projects will take part in the project but the ordinary citizens will also “get used to doing good deeds”, especially youth.
