For small children of Almaty orphanage #1 this day started with the pleasant warm presents which are so much-needed during frosty weather. The children tried on lots of green, pink, yellow and blue scarves and caps with great pleasure. Every child could choose an outfit according to his or her own taste and color. These winter accessories were handmade works of “Chevron” company staff. An idea to share with the warmth of hands belonged to the mass media and public affairs coordinator Ainur Sidikova.  

Ainur has started knitting since childhood. She puts her heart and soul into each work. In her collection there are several dozens of cardigans, sweaters and caps. A sweater which Ainur had been knitting for several months is one of her most favorite and technically difficult works. Ainur admits that the most important thing is energetics you put into knitted work. Her colleagues enthusiastically supported the idea to knit something for the pupils of Almaty orphanage. About 20 employees took part in the volunteer project of “Chevron” company. As a result, 30 children in the age from 3 to 7 years received not only warm accessories but also positive emotions.
