Pupils of the orphanage Zhanuya spent the International Day of School Libraries in the State Children's Library named after. S. Begalin. Especially for 25 students of grades 1-4 a tour of the general education institution was arranged and a festive program was prepared. Children had a tremendous time: they tried to break the spell of Baba Yaga and save books, solved riddles, danced. Boys and girls told Baba-yaga about the value of books and that books were a source of knowledge. With many positive impressions the children returned home.
In many countries of the world the International Day of School Libraries is celebrated annually on the fourth Monday of October. This tradition was established in 1999 on the initiative of UNESCO.
