During Nauriz, good news came to us from the shores of the Foggy Albion. Kazakh community of students at the “University College London” does not forget Kazakh traditions and on the days of Nauriz celebration at homeland they held a number of charity events at various universities and colleges in the UK. All funds raised during the festivities, £945 were transferred to our foundation. We are going to spend these funds on a project for children health care in Kazakhstan. In conversion to tenge, guys gathered 221 319 KZT. Students of the following UK institutions participated in fundraising: Queen Mary University Kazakh Society, Cambridge University Kazakh Society, Nottingham Kazakh Society, Oxford Kazakh Society, Manchester Kazakh Society, Warwick Uniersity Kazakh Society, Aberdeen Kazakh Society, UCL Kazakh Society, and Bristol Kazakh Society. Funds were donated not only by Kazakhstan students but also students from other countries of the world.
