Today, in the Kostanay perinatal center a ceremony of medical equipment transferring for the nursing of premature infants for a total amount of 19,150,800 tenge hold. The sponsors of this stage of the project were the Premium Oil Trans Company, "Air Astana" and the team of JSC "Center for Trade Policy".

For the 6 months of 2012 in Kostanay perinatal center 2,020 births were taken, 10.3% of which are premature. Resuscitation department is designed for 10 beds, the department of pathology and nursing of prematurely born infants is designed for 24 beds. In the neonatal resuscitation 8% of infants receiving treatment, 58% - are premature babies. Infant mortality in the Kostanay region for the 6 months of 2012 was 17.3%.

According to the head of the Health Department of Kostanay region Oral Aytbaevich Bekmagabetov: "We waited for a long time when the "AYALA" charity foundation’s project "Breathe, baby" come to our region. The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan and local governments do a lot to the sphere of obstetrics. However, the initiative of charitable organizations in the field of medicine is please us. The equipment, which is now transferred to our perinatal center, is expensive and really vital. I think that the medical equipment, which today passes the "AYALA" foundation, will help our colleagues to raise the level of medical care for children who were born prematurely".

"Our perinatal center, as well as all health care institutions of the third level concentrates premature birth, as well as pregnant women with extra genital pathology, i.e. women from risk groups. Very often, we realize that the lack of equipment prevents us from working efficiently. And the quality of our work is defined very simply – by saved, or unfortunately, lost human lives. The equipment that we have received as a gift from the "AYALA" charity foundation is weighty support in our work", - said the director of the Kostanay perinatal center Tetyana Borysovna Bulgatsevich.

"We know about the work of the "AYALA" charity foundation for a long time, but in the implementation of the "Breathe, baby" project we take part for the first time. I would like to point out the fact that the "AYALA" foundation in financial terms is completely open and transparent. We see that all the money that we passed on the project, spent exactly on the project. We are very impressed with this approach to the charity and if we decide to continue our movement in this direction, then most likely we will choose the "AYALA" charity foundation as a partner", - said a General Director of Premium Oil Trans company Timur Ospanov.

Without sponsors, partners, media support and fund-raising boxes installed in various places, sms-campaign and other forms of donations, implementation of the project would not be possible. We have traveled all over the Kazakhstan and now it is easier to name regional perinatal centers, which have not received assistance from the "AYALA" foundation. There are RPC of Uralsk, Aktau, Kokshetau and Turkestan cities. We hope that this year there will be sponsors for these cities"- said a vice-president of the "AYALA" charity foundation Zhangeldy Sarsenov.

After the solemn ceremony of medical equipment transferring, the receiving party held for the employees of the foundation and sponsors representatives a pleasant and informative tour around the Kostanay city. Ancient buildings, new buildings, and especially Victory Park left a very bright and a good impression of the city. But the warmest experience for our employees has become doctors, nurses, midwives, nurses of the perinatal center. The defining words for these people – are the "care" and "loyalty".
