The project is implemented jointly with the Ministry and the regional health department. Vital medical equipment for newborn care helped health workers reduce the infant mortality rate in the whole country by 17%. This fact was noted by President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev.
Chief physician of the Akmola regional perinatal center Janat Sartaevich Musin said: “I have known about the “Breathe, baby” project. My colleagues, the chief doctors of perinatal centers, heads of departments of pediatric resuscitation highlight the fact that the equipment they received from the "AYALA" foundation really helps to reduce infant mortality and allows to provide high-tech help for children, who born prematurely. We are very pleased that help of the "AYALA" foundation came in Kokshetau. It is important that it is actually help of dozens of people involved in fundraising within framework of the charity race organized by the Rixos Borovoe hotel”.
"We want to make charitable bicycle races one of the hotel's business cards. Such events attract an additional stream of tourists and will contribute to the popularization of environmentally friendly domestic tourism in Kazakhstan, as well as increase the inflow of foreign tourists. In addition, the "Breathe, baby" project, to which we are helping this year, has great social meaning for our region", - said Ergin SARP, operational manager of the Rixos Borovoe hotel.
"I am very pleased that this year the "AYALA" foundation almost completed the "Breathe, baby" project. We started this project in the 2009 and implemented in the Almaty city. And since 2011 the project became republican. And if at the beginning of this project the cities in which we worked, could be counted on the fingers of one hand, but now the situation is reversed. Equipment has already been purchased for the last three perinatal centers in Uralsk, Aktau and Turkestan. I would like to thank all of our partners, in particular, the Rixos Borovoe hotel, who managed to organize an event, so that the necessary funds have been collected in one day", - said vice-president of the "AYALA" charity foundation Zhangeldy SARSENOV.
