The "Breathe, baby" project was launched in 2009 in Almaty. In 2011, after signing of the Memorandum of cooperation and collaboration with the Ministry of Health project has acquired a republican status.

Kaspi bank worked at ground zero of the project. The "Breathe, baby" project helped workers of regional perinatal centers and maternity homes save thousands of lives of newborn children.

In October 2013, a check for 38 million tenge was handed to the "AYALA" charity foundation. Medical equipment for regional perinatal centers of Turkestan, Aktau and Uralsk cities was procured on this money.

Vyacheslav Kim, Michael Lomtadze and Hollywood actor Antonio Banderas, who was invited by kaspi bank specifically for the completion of the charity project transferred to Aidan Suleimenova, President of the "AYALA" foundation check for a large sum.

Vyacheslav KIM, Chairman of the Board of Directors of JSC "Kaspi Bank", said: "Kaspi bank and personally I support the project and consider it as an honor for us. I want to thank the doctors who are fighting for the life of every child, to volunteers who invest in this project their time and efforts. This important for all of us project is implemented with the help of kaspi bank for 5 years. Over the years, the bank gave 91 458 408 tenge to the resuscitation departments of regional and urban centers. During this time, child survival increased in 5 times. Children are our future and the "Breathe, baby" project has given happiness to thousands of families in Kazakhstan. I hope that the project will serve as an example for other companies and together we will give happiness to each other".

Director of a Mangistau regional perinatal center Jamal ZHAMANBAEVA said: "The "Breathe, baby" project started by the "AYALA" charity foundation proved its undeniable effectiveness in assisting preterm infants. Targeted assistance to this contingent of children is very important. Decreasing of the infant mortality rate is always an indicator of health development in the country. This figure as a "litmus test" expresses the overall development of the country".

"I think the "Breathe, baby" project is one of the most efficient and effective. In my opinion, employees and volunteers of the foundation may write to their account at least 200 saved lives of newborns, which fortunately regularly appear in maternity and perinatal centers of our country. Without sponsors, partners and friends, this process would have been impossible", - summed up the vice-president of the "AYALA" charity foundation Zhangeldy SARSENOV.
