Behind glass, entangled in dozens of wires and tubes, is a tiny little human. He weighs a little more than 500 grams, but he is a great happiness for his mom and dad. And much anxiety. Will the baby survive? A few years ago, such children were considered a miscarriage in Kazakhstan, but when the country adopted the World Health Organization standards, they started fighting for the life of each child weighing more than 500 grams. And most perinatal centers and maternity hospitals simply didn’t have the equipment.

It was then that the "AYALA" fund initiated "Breathe, baby" project, designed to help children's intensive care.

"I remember when Vyacheslav Kim came to the intensive care unit of infectious diseases hospital and saw their equipment. And when he realized that the old equipment used there could simply harm the baby -break the lungs, he could not help but respond, "- says Aidan Suleimenova, the head of AYALA Foundation.

The Fund is almost 10 years old, and Vyacheslav Kim and kaspi bank have been sponsoring various projects for 9 years now.

"We had a full picture of what we do, what we buy, and how to continue to move in this direction. Not only does our foundation help with medical equipment, but we also train doctors, nurses how to work on this equipment to properly care for newborns with problems. Speaking words is one thing. Talking numbers is completely different, because numbers are impressive. 106,128,398 tenge in total were spent during our cooperation with kaspi and personally Vyacheslav Kim. The numbers speak for themselves, "- explains Ms Suleimenova.

38 million of this amount were given by a famous actor Antonio Banderas, who visited Kazakhstan following an invitation from kaspi bank. This action attracted the attention of thousands of people.

- "We are not in favor of simply giving money," - says Aidan.

- "We know the logistics and the needs of our medical and educational institutions, because our foundation does both health and educational projects. This happens: there’s an orphanage that has everything. And across the road there’s another facility, a boarding school for children in need or children with disabilities; their situation is completely different, they need help. That is, we really do know the needs and the conditions of our institutions. No medical or educational institution in Almaty and Astana is left without our attention. All this thanks to our sponsors.

Tens of thousands of children's lives have been saved thanks to the “AYALA" Foundation’s "Breathe, baby" and "Breathe in life" projects. The purchased equipment for the intensive care units of children's infectious diseases hospital helped paediatricians to reduce child mortality by 4 times. "Vyacheslav Kim and Michael Lomtadze came to see the machines installed by us. They saw how those born a couple of hours ago lie. That child was born, and it was put on our equipment; this shows that it is actually necessary. It makes an impression even on the most brutal men, "- says Aidan Suleimenova.

Fund employees know that the most expensive projects, which require buying equipment that saves lives, are not possible without people who understand the importance every child’s life, entangled in machine wires.
