Today a pleasant event has happened - a ceremony of granting vital equipment for the perinatal center №3 in Astana.

In the pediatric intensive care unit 2 phototherapy devices, as well as a mobile X-ray machine have appeared. 5 512 000 tenge, transferred to the fund by a private individual, was allocated for this project’s implementation.

This phototherapy device was designed for quick non-drug treatment of jaundice in newborns.  In the perinatal centers mothers with newborns always have to wait in long queues for these devices, and these devices work almost for 24 hours.

A mobile X-ray machine helps to diagnose diseases in children and start a timely treatment. It eliminates the necessity to transport infants to a specialized diagnostic department. For a small baby transportation through the long corridors of medical institution is a temperature stress, so a mobile x-ray machine is a very convenient tool that helps to avoid this stress.

"A project "Breathe a new life" is a logical continuation of our project "Breathe, baby", which has proven its highest efficiency in perinatal centers across Kazakhstan. The newest equipment provided to the children's intensive care units helped to increase the survival rate of premature infants with low birth weight in several times. We decided to continue to provide assistance not only to perinatal centers but also to children's resuscitation departments of maternity homes and children's hospitals. The project "Breathe a new life" is waiting for the participation of all Kazakhstan people'', - said Zhangeldy Sarsenov, a vice president of public affairs of the charity foundation "AYALA".

A chief doctor of the perinatal center №3 Zaytuna Khamidullina noted the high efficiency of the project "Breathe a new life" developed by "AYALA" foundation and on behalf of the small patients and their parents. She thanked all employees of the foundation for their long-term work for the benefit of children's health in Kazakhstan.
