In December 2013, we returned to the "I also want to live" project for the development of pediatric cardiac surgery in the Republic of Kazakhstan. Three specialists in ultrasound diagnosis of a Centre for Perinatology and Pediatric Cardiac Surgery in Almaty with the support of our foundation became participants in the EuroEcho-Imaging congress in 2013, which took place from 11 to 14 December 2013 in Istanbul.
To make it easier to describe the impressions of participants, we want to use the descriptions of Anara Alzhanova, medical ultrasonography specialist of the Centre for Perinatology and Pediatric Cardiac Surgery in Almaty. "The forum program was very extensive, there were about 10 sections. Simultaneously present in all sections was impossible, so we split up and parallel covered by 2 sections. Geography of the forum is wide enough, participants – are cardiologists virtually from all continents. We heard reports on congenital heart diseases, on new approaches of pre-and post operational evaluation at transposition of great vessels, single ventricle of the heart, the estimation of parameters in atrioventricular canal, aortic coarctation, etc".
Seminar onreviews of doctors has become very important. Modern diagnostics of congenital heart disease using non-invasive technologies will help Kazakhstan cardiac surgeons do everything possible for the children who are born in specialized centers.
EuroEcho-ImagingCongress in 2013 provided an excellent opportunity to our doctors to get acquainted with the most modern equipment in the field of pediatric cardiac surgery.
Our foundation is the general sponsor of this trip. The project budget for the participation of Kazakh ultrasound diagnosis doctors was 802 661 tenge.
